COMANCHE FOOTBALL
SCHEDULE RELEASED
Coach jCHenn Frazier, chief of
the Comanche Indians recently
released the ’39 schedule for the
Tribe tor the coming year.
September 22 is down as an open
date and the Indiana will ring
up the curtain on the ’89 schedule
with a league game, Gorman at
Comanche on the 29. October 9
is down as another open date and
the Hamilton Bulldogs come to
Comanche on the 13. The Redskins
Journey to Eastland for a con-
ference clash with the Eastland
Mavericks, newcomers to the dis-
trict on October 20, and have an
open date on the 27. Hico’s Tigers
come to Comanche on the 3rd of
November and the Redskins in-
vade Dublin on the 3rd of Novem-
ber. The 17th and 24th of Novem-
ber are open and the Tribe will
close the season on November 29
at De Leon. Coach Frazier plans
to schedule 4 more games to fill
out the regular 10 game slate.
Stephenville, Brownwood, Cole-
man, Goldthwatte, and the Texas
State School for the Deaf are
being considered as opponents.
Johnsle Pate, flashy all-district
halfback, and Wilburn Fletcher,
100 pound guard, were- recently
elected Co-Captain*.
