”1 think Nolan County is at a key point in its history and
what we do and how we adapt over the next few years will
determine what will become of our county," Lopez said.
There are many untapped resources in the Nolan County
area, according to Lopez. Looking at the changes that have
come to Sweetwater, Lopez said that this area is on a poten-.
tial economic and technological breakthrough.
"I think that I am young enough to know a fair amount
of technology, and I don't think that we've tapped into all
the new technology yet," Lopez said. "1 want to he part of
ushering it in. 1 think a new and young perspective can only
benefit our county."

Monday High School and Belmont University, in Nashville.
She is the Children's Pastor at Emmanuel Fellowship
Church and teaches at Cornerstone Christian Preschool.
They have a daughter, Libby.

Hutchison was one of the
sponsors of the bill and was
present at the ceremony to
present the framed copies
of the bill.
During the presenta-
tions, Senator Hutchison
applauded the patriotism
dedication and willingness
of the WASl’s and their ser-
vice to their country. These
women paved the way, for
future generations, in a
tough time.
Their pioneering spirit
has inspired many women
to this day. In spite of all the
doubts and harsh treatment
that they were dealt, the
WASPs made their dreams
a reality and proved that
women could fly military
planes for this country.
Congress passed the hill
in three months.
Currently the United
States Mint is in the process
of making the medals so
that they can be presented
at a ceremony to the WASPs
and families of those that
are deceased. The fami-
lies and remaining WASPs
should be presented with
their medals sometime in
March, according to Senator
Hutchison.
