C. C. C. ANNIVERSARY CELE-
BRATION AT GARNER PARK
Commemorating the seventh birth-
day of the Civilian Conservation
Corps, the C. C. C. Camp at Garner
Park will stage an afternoon celebra-
tion on April 13th. The public is
j cordially invited to attend this
event and it is the desire of the camp
and park officials that a record
crowd be in attendance. Ample
parking space has been provided
within the 642 acres comprising the
park area and a full afternoon and
evening of entertainment has been
planned. The following program
will comprise the activities in the af-
ternoon and evening:
1:00 p. m. to 2:00 p. m.—Inspec-
tion of the Park.
2:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m.—Softball
games.
4:00 p. m. to 4:30 p. m.—Boxing.
5:30 p. m. to 6:00 p. m.—Volley-
ball matches.
6:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m.—Barbe-
cue supper.
8:00 p. m. to 10:00 p. m.—Dance.
Music throughout the afternoon
will be furnished by the fifty-three
piece High School Band of Sabinal,
Texas. There will be no charge for
any event or activity throughout the
afternoon and evening.
Garner Park is reached by taking
Highway No. 127 north out of Sabi-
nal.
