Iris B. Bullard of Bellaire
has been named to the
Distinction List at South-
western University at
Georgetown for the 1975
spring semester, Dean F. B.
Clifford announced this
week.
To earn a place on the
Distinction List, a student
must have a grade point
average of 3.6 or higher on a
perfect 4.0 scale while
taking a minimum of 12
credit hours and while
manitaining a good standing
with the University. About
20 percent of the 900
students enrolled in the
state’s oldest chartered
university earned a spot on
the Distinction List. Many
of those enrolled in the
liberal arts school plan to
continue their education in
graduate schools in such
fields as medicine, law and
theology.
Iris is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Eugene C. Bullard
of 4917 Mimosa Drive in
Bellaire.

McGulliciiddy
gets degree
Daniel McGullicuddy, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel
McGullicuddy of 5422 Yar-
well, was among the more
than 700 students to receive
a bachelor’s degree at the
205th Commencement Ex-
ercises of Dartmouth
College June 8.
Dartmouth College is the
ninth oldest institution of
higher learning in the
United States and the
northernmost of the eight-
member Ivy League group.
It was the last to receive a
colonial charter from King
George III of Great Britain.
While at Dartmouth, Mr.
McGullicuddy not only
graduated Magna Cum
Laude with high distinction
in government, but worked
on drama stage crew of “The
Mikado.”

Bob cummings, award
winning actor, director,
veteran of 111 motion
pictures and of 4 television
series, will star in the next
Windmill Dinner Theatre
production, “The Marriage-
Go-Round,” beginning July
15.
This brightly humorous
comedy, written by Leslie
Stephens, had a successful
run of more that sixteen
months on Broadway and
was later made into a motion
picture.
In “Marriage-Go-Round”
Bob Cummings and Ann
Mitchell will portray a

director for 1974-75 of the
Pilot Club of Bellaire-South-
west has awarded its annual
Outstanding Educator of the
Year Award to Mrs.
Kathleen Guthrie of Bell-
aire. Mrs. Guthrie gradua-
ted from Southern Meth-
odist University with a BA
degree in music; and she
worked for many years with
the Houston Grand Opera
Association and in several
productions at Theater, Inc.
Nineteen years ago she
began teaching in a private
school, and four years later
she went to Condit school,
where she has remained for
the past fifteen years. By
attending summer sessions
and night classes, she
acquired in a degree in
Education from the Uni-
versity of Houston, and now
holds a Masters degree in
Education and School Ad-
ministration and Supervi-
sion. She is a member of the
National Hoorary Education
Fraternity, Delta Kappa *
Gamma. It is with great S?
