TRINITY BAPTIST CHURCH
Trinity Baptist Church, located at the corner ot Hailey
and Santa Fe, is excited to offer a public viewing of the
movie Fireproof on Saturday night, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. in our
sanctuary. ,, „ _ , , ,
Capt. Caleb Holt lives by the old firefighters adage:
Never leave your partner behind. Inside burning buildings,
it's his natural instinct. In the cooling embers of his mar-
riage, it's another story.
After seven vears of marriage, Caleb and Catherine Holt
have drifted so far apart that they are ready to move on
without each other. Yet as they prepare to enter divorce
proceedings, Caleb's dad asks his son to try an experiment:
The Love Dare.
While hoping The Love Dare has nothing to do with Ins
parents' newfound faith, Caleb commits to the challenge.
But can he attempt to love his wife while avoiding God's
love for him? Will he be able to demonstrate love over and
over again to a person that's no longer receptive to his
love? Or is this just another marriage destined to go up in
smoke? Holt is ready to face his toughest job ever - rescu-
ing his wife’s heart.
Come join us on Saturday, Feb.7, at 7 p.m. in our sanctu-

Everyone, at least all women, enjoy a good love story.
From Romeo and Juliet to "Sleepless in Seattle" to "You’ve
Got Mail" to well you get the picture. Our world is looking
for love. As much fun as these are to watch, and as good as
the script writers are. they pale in comparison to the great-
est love story of all — God’s love for man. Some two thou-
sand years ago God wrote this great story of love, when He
gave ilis Son, Jesus, to die on Calvary for you and me. That
will be the topic of Bro. Chris' sermon this week. You see,
you are God's Valentine and He didn't "go to Jared's." He

WORD OF GOD CHURCH
Our Vision: Transforming ordinary people into passion-
ate followers of Christ through the God's Word, growing
them into mature Christians, to be Jesus' lights in this
world and witnesses of the Gospel of Jesus and the
Kingdom of God, seeking the lost for the glory of God and
His Kingdom.
How's your life? Is it filled with joy, peace, love, patience,
gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance
(self- control)? If not, you are losing out on a blessed life
that has been given to us through Christ Jesus and only
comes form having a deep relationship with the Holy
Ghost. 2 Corinthians 13:14, talks of a communion or part-
nership with the Holy Ghost. If this is strange and foreign
to you, then your Christianity is weak. Do not let the
watered down version of God's truth deceive you. The
comforter is here so that we can be all, for God, through the
power of the Holy Ghost. There is a truth that will make
you free. This church will change your life through teach-
ing you how to be intimate with your Father. If your tired
of walking a Christian life that is not satisfying or trans-
forming, you need to come and learn how to drink from
the living water. God is changing committed Christians
lives in this ministry. But if you are satisfied with being dry
and thirsty, then you probably have no need for daily com-
mitment. But, for those who need more, let is show you the
way through God's truth's. We have services Sunday at
10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.; and Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. We
have something going on for the children and the teens
every service.
God's women's meeting is on Thursday's starting at 6:30
p.m. God's men's meeting is on Tuesday's starting at 6:30
p.m. for accountability and prayer. Teens don’t forget our
Wednesday Teen Church at 6:30 p.m. on the teen ministry
side of building. And also The Rock youth center is open
Tuesday and Thursday, from 3:30-9:30 p.m.; and Saturday
from 5:30-11:30 p.m.
Hear a recorded broadcast message from Pastor Dale
Stowe from 8:30-9 a.m. on KXOX, Sweetwater. God is
moving mountains!
I'M GLAD YOU ASKED
What is the appropriate
age for marriage?
Dear Dr. Haney,
1 first want to thank you for having such a great place
to get questions answered! Mv question revolves
around Christian marriages. I'm 20 years old, almost
twenty-one. I have a wonderful Christian girlfriend that
God has blessed me with. It is so amaz-
ing to see the gifts God has revealed to
me through this relationship! My big
struggle is over marriage. We both have
talked a lot about it. We both agree that
we are sharing loving feelings for one
another. I have been praying about mar-
riage for about four months now. Is it a
good idea for us to get married at such
an early age? I feel so at peace with this
marriage concept. God has given me this
beautiful gal and I just feel the next step
is marriage. Are there any scriptures
that highlight these issues? I totally
want God in the center of this relation-
ship. I know we are not perfect, but 1 am
definitely going to strive for this! I just
really feel a sense that we need to be together Thank
you so much for your time!
Sincerely,
Jeremy
Dear Jeremy,
Though we’ve never met, I admire your prin-
ciples and desire to do the right thing. Weigh
carefully the decision that will affect the rest of
your life so much: like a cooperative pair of
windshield wipers, you and your wife working
together will Find marriage a series of chances
to wipe distractions off of the windshield of
your opportunities and allow God’s vision to
shine through. You serve yourself well bv think-
ing carefully about what marriage is ail about
before diving in. Use this time to prepare your-
self. With so manv great resources, both hooks
and tapes, as well as truly helpful conferences
floating around these days, anyone who wants
to can easily become well trained in the fine art
of marriage. You can build an impressive tool-
box full of communication skills, conflict man-
agement techniques and needs-analysis instru-
ments. My friend and his wife have been
blessed so much through the Couples'
Devotional Bible that he says, “I cannot recom-
mend it highly enough.” I encourage you to pick
up one of these at the Christian bookstore. Like
most other things in life, marriage comes down
to getting out of it what you put in to it. I can tell
by the spirit of your letter that you already
know this marriage business is worth doing
right, whatever it takes.
To answer your question about whether this
is just the right time, remember that your level
of maturity and preparation is more important
than your age. Rather than focusing on being
just the right age, or even Finding just the right
person, remember that even the best of mar-
riage beginnings, by default, have a long way to
go. Someone said a good wedding is like a good
Fiddle playin’ - when the music is over, there
are stfll strings attached. Eryoy the blissful
state of your love during this time in your lives,
understanding all the while that when the new
wears off and work remains to be done you can
grow even deeper in love if you are willing to
work at it. The fact is, Christian marriage real-
ly marries three, not two. Keep Christ in the
center of your relationship, and the closer you
get to Him, the closer you will get to each other.
