THE CAMERON HERALD
PROCLAMATION
PUBLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
Greetings:
The public schools provide the tools of knowledge
which will equip our young men and women to become
constructive and responsible citizens in this land of free-
dom-
We have a great responsibility to maintain and
advance the ideals and standards which our people have
come to expect of their public schools. We must keep
pace with the growing needs of our schools by providing
new class rooms, improved methods and by encouraging
loyal, able, qualified men and women to adopt teaching as
as lifetime career.
NOW THEREFORE, I, as Mayor of Cameron,
do herebv designate the week of March 5—10, 1956, as
PUBLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
in Cameron, and urge every citizen to visit
our schools during this period and to be-
come personally acquainted with the pro-
grams and accomplishments of our edu-
cational system.
In official recognition whereof, I hereby affix
my signature this 10 day of February, 1956.
