RDITORIALLY
SPEAKING
Rabaoca Lodge In Social
Meeting Tuesday Night
It ia a pitiable thing that
the inarch of tlie Hereford
Whitefaoe football team
toward a district cham-
pionship must be Huhjeut-
ed to letting a gting of
drunks despoil the school.
With its valiant team of
clean, hard-playing boyx;
its pep squad with its loy-
al, laughing, Hinging, dain-
ty girls, and ita bund of
line musician*, why must
the school lose the pres-
tige of ita fair name and
justly proud record for the
simple reason n few want
to gratify their craving
for strong drink.
There are many things
that could probably be
fairly charged with the
blame of the thing that
could easily bring cen-
sure upon the name of
anything associated with
Hereford high school. It ia
intolerable thut our high-
minded hoys uud girlu can-
not bring their enthua-
iaam and training for fair-
play to a high pitch of eu-
deavor without having
their pleaNiirc spoiled |>v
Nuch a thing.
Hereford High School
hak a well-earned record
of clean conduct, high de-
portment and unqiiCNtkill-
ed integrity. It i* prob-
able that no ill-repute
he attached to it by an
outsider's behaviour, but
as long aa Tbe Brand can
keep undue reflection from
one of the best education-
al organizations in Texas,
we are standing four-
square for our high school,
its tine hoys and girls, and
the best that life can offer
for them. l»i
