guest was asked to write some
advise to the bride. Much fun
was had when these were read
alood. At the appointed time 1
sleigh bells were heard and little
Joe Hays dressed as Santa came
speeding through the^crowd in
» toy automobile filled with
presents for the bride. Each
guest was given a musical instru
ment and told to imitate Santa.
A minature Christmas tres with
decorations and Santa Claus
formed the centerpiece for the
dining table.
Miss Vinson was the recip
itant of many beautiful gifts
Refreshments of tea and sand-
wiches were served. Mrs. J. M.
Allen presided over the coffee
urn.
Both the morning and evening
services at Union Baptist church
by Rev. E. Newton of Ft. Worth
were very impressive ones, and
m/iny expressed a deep desire
to hear him again soon. Rev. M
L. Schneer of Mineral Wells
preached at the three o’clock
hour. Rev. Schneer is the cons
verted Jew who assisted Rev.
Scott in a meeting some three
years ago.
