ly above the 10-oent mark In moat In-

at that figure.' The ruling price yeetor
day afternoon waa WH to 11 mats tor
more than on eaaa lota. By peddling

able to- realise a Uttle more. Ten cents
la (till expected before the and of in

of fryers la coming on and a marked
weakness la expected shortly.
Concerning the1 market on cotton aeed
products the Williams Flash company
of New York have the following to aay:
Jn the past twenty years wa have been
In the business we have aeen a great
jneny declines In cotton oil. and even
times when oil waa not salable at all
but we have never aeen a decline of this
magnitude extending over ao long a
period without any perceptible reaction
whatever and at today's prleea there are
no more slgna of real conaumptlve de-
mand setting In (either domestic or ex-
port) than there were when the market
waa ic a gallon higher. The fact la that
vuyers me woria over nave.Decome utter-
ly demoralised at this" continuous and en
tirely unexpected decline and It Is our
opinion that to turn the market It will
be necessary for the large companies to
come to Its aid which we believe sooner
or later they have shown no disposition
whatever to sell. That" with cotton oil
at S8c a gallon Prima " summer yellow
Is cheap even should lard decline Ho
a pound further la not to be denied but
the fact that lard baa declined this week
about He a pound and tallow fcc to Ho a
pound together with the urgent liquida-
tion of speculatively held accounts (prin-
cipally for July) baa led te a very wtsk
feeling In cotton oil and those names
who could see no very weak feeling In
cotton oil and those parties who ooiild aea
no top when oil waa at 41c are ao ar-
guing that It ought to to lo So.
