da Cabrera of Guatemala Is dying." This
startling statement wat made tonight by
Jose . Games who Is l.i this city aa the
confidential agent of President Zelaya of
Nicaragua.
Mr. (James claims to have received Infor-
mation from an unquestioned aource to the
effect that Pretldent Cabrera Is tufferin-
from an attack of blod poisoning which fol-
lowed the extraction of a tooth. According
to Mr. Gam.t President Cahrera haa not
left the executive mansion for eight days
and those in attendance at lila bedside de-
apalr of his life.
The greatest secrecy Is maintained regard-
ing the prea.dent a condition and the troops
guard his res.dence and allow no one to
conte within four wjuar. s of the place.
This report wss furtt er corroborated from
another and entirely independent source when
a Spanish planter who recently arrived In
this capital from Ouat-n:iiia declared that
Cabrera wa fatally 111 from the effects of
blood poisoning He aaid that this In a meas-
ure waa believed to explain some of the al-
leged atrocities taking place In Guatemala.

on a mission to Mexico and the United States
as an agent of President Zelaya of Nicaragua
tonight explained the relatione between Ni-
caragua and Honduras. He said that an of-
fentlve and defensive alliance existed be-
tween the two countriet. In regard to tha
pretence of Nlcaraguan troops on Honduran
soil he claimed that these soldiers were re-
tained at the request of Honduras and paid
by that government. Mr. Games who has
been extensively entertained by Mexican of-
ficials during hit stay in the capital will
leave for Washington Monday He will seek
an audience with President HjSrevelt and
It It believed that his mission to the United
