son of the Alabama railroad commission In-
structing tha Southern and Its allied Unas
aad other railroads that have "come tn" to
enforce the new passenger rates in accord-
ance with the agreement reached recently
by Oovscnor Coeser such rate te become ef-
fective December 1. 107. The order states
that the straight rate will be t 1-4 cents
per mile. Family tickets of 6M milea may be
purchased for I 1-1 cents per mile and 100-
mfle books eaa be purchased for I 1-4 cents
per mile making the long haul rates nearly
aa cheap aa the former party rate of t cents.
Other orders were made fixing Joint pas-
senger tares and relieving the Illinois Cen-
tral railroad and the Atlanta Birmingham
aad Atlantic railroad of prescribed statutory
rates during the period of construction.
