committee thla morning at Trades Assembly
ball at which further arrangements and prep
aratlon for tha observance of the day In
tni city were made nut tne official pro-
gram for the celebration will not be com-
gleted until the next meeting to be held next
unday morning.
All th various committees reported prog-
ress In the preparation for the celebration.
It waa arranged with a transfer company to
haul the hosts of labor from the Sabine Pass
car at Buford street to Caswell park where
th celebration will be held for 10 cent per
capita and arrangements were also mads for
transportation by boat from tha foot of Or-
leans street generally known a Lover
Lane down the Neche river In the pleasure
boat Red Too. It was decided to hold a
big bail in the evening at Trades Assembly
hall. Good muslo will be furnished and tn
ball will come as th climax of the day's
festivities and enjoyments. Th matter of
having free barbecued meat at tha picnic
rounds waa brouaht nn and on motion was
referred to the refreshment committee. Tb
