In the upper left hand corner. Miss Christine Schultz 2407 Fannin who is major of the girls' military corps at Rice Institute. Major Schultz'
orders are given and executed with as much dispatch as those of any officer in the regular army service.
In the upper right hand corner a company of Rice girls at attention. These determined young women bid fair to ecllps? the fame of the well
known Russian women's "Legion of Heath."
Lower left hand corner. Rice Institute girl cadets on the march. These co-ed soldiers are drilling for an hour three days a week. Major Frazier
says that this is the first time that he ever had the pleasure of seeing girls drill as these are now doing and that these are the best he ever saw.
Lower right hand corner. Miss Zuleika Ware 2517 Ijcona street who is bugler for. one of the girls' military companies at Rice Institute. The girls
are called to assembly by buglers according to regulation army rules.

being given them each week. Four com-
panies have been formed each company

companying officers who were chosen
from among their number. There'tiave
been six drill periods up to this time
and the girls are learning rapidly to exe-
cute the maneuvers according to the
orders given them by their .commanders.
So far the training "has consisted of
marching maneuvers alone but later cn
there will be instruction given in Red
Cross work first aid to the Injured and
kindred subjects. The training Is com-
pulsory for each and every student and
absence from drill calls for strict ac-
countability. The boys will be confined to
their rooms for certain lengths of time
or sent on walking touTs when they are
absent from drill and it is probable that
the girls will have their hit to do ;n the
way of walking tours when they are
not present at drill unless they have a
ery Ood excuse. These walking tours
are an institution at almost every mili-
tary school as a means of punishment

walk of more or less lengthy terioris oi
time around some building or other short
route.

; ficiency in your food by using some form

"As I have said a hundred tims over
organic iron Is the greatest of all strength
builders. If people would only take Ux-
uted Iron when they feel weak or run-
i down. Instead of dosing themselves with
habit-forming drugs stimulants and al-
coholic beverages. I am convim ed that
in this way they could ward off disease
preventing it becoming organic In thou-
sands of cases and thereby the lives of
thousands might be saved who now die
every year from pneumonia grippe kid-
ney liver heart trouble and other dan-
gerous maladies. The real and true cause
which started their disease was noth-
ing more nor less than a weakened con-
dition brought on by a lack of Iron la
the blood.
On account of the peculiar nature of
woman and the great drain placed upon
her Rystem at certain periods she re-
quires Iron much more than man to help
make up for the loss.
Iron is absolutely necessary to enable
your blnod to change food Into living tis-
sue. Without it. no matte: how much
or what you eat. your food merely passes
through you without doing you any good.
You don't get the strength out of It
and as a consequence you become
weak pale and sickly looking just like a
flant trying to grow In a soil deficient In
ron. If yon are not strong or well you
owe It to yourself to make the follow-
ing test; See how long you can work or
how far you can walk without becoming
tired. Next take two five-grain tablets
of ordinary nuxated Iron three times per
day after meals for two weeks. Then test
your strength again and see how much
you have gained. I have seen dozens of
nervous run-down people who were ail-
ing all the while double their strength
and endurance and entirely rid them-
selves of all symptoms of dyspepsia liver
and other troubles in from ten to four-
teen days' time simply by taking Iron In
the proper form. And this after they
had In some cases been doctoring for
months without obtaining any benefit.
But don't take the old forms of reduced
Iron. Iron acetate or tincture of Iron
simply to save a few cents. The Iron
demanded by Mother Nature for the red
coloring matter In the blood of her chil-
dren Is alas! not that kind If Iron. You
must take Iron In a form that can be
easily absorbed and assimilated to do

I have used Nuxated Iron widely in ray
own practice in most severe aggravate
conditions with unfailing results. I have
Induced many other physicians to give it
a trial all of whom have given me most
surprising reports In regard to Its greaf
power as a health and strength builder.
Many an athlete and prize fighter hai
won the day simply because he knew
the secret of great strength and endur-
ance and filled his blood with iron be-
fore he went Into the affray; while many
another has gone down in inglorious de-
feat simply for the lack of iron."
Dr. Schuyler C. Jacques. Visiting Sur-
geon of St. Elizabeth's Hospital New
York City said: "I have never before
given out any medical information or.
advice for publication as I ordinarily do
not believe in it. But so many Ameri-
can women suffer from iron defl-lency
with its attendant Ills physical weak-
nes. nervous irritability melancholy.
Indigestion flabby sagging muscle
etc. etc. and in consequence of their
weakened run-down condition they
are so liable to contract serious and
even fatal diseases that I deem It
rhy duty to advise all such to take
Nuxated Iron. I have taken It myself
and given it to my patients with
most surprising and satisfactory re-
sults. And those who wish quickly to
Increase their strength power and en-
durance will find it a most remark-
able and wonderfully effective remedy."
