His Own Reputation
taat.
W
There was a time in the automobile business when
the prospective buyer of a motor vehicle gave little
heed to the reputation of the dealer from whom he
bought
It was the dealer's own reputation. The buyer
seemed to feel that he was not concerned.
But it has been shown that carelessness in' one
major principle of human conduct clearly indicates
carelessness in others.
The dealer who is careless of his reputation has
been careless of the methods and policies he pursues.
Hence his reputation has not always been savory.
The worth-while dealers in this business -the men
who are careful of their own reputations are ex-
tremely careful about keeping their own self re-
spect and the high regard of their customers. These
dealers built reputations by being careful about the
interests of their customers. From them automo-
biles can be bought in full confidence of full value
for the money invested. .
These . worth while dealers have banded together
and fixed a standard of measurement. By 'this
standard the buyers can know the men who are
careful of their reputations. They can' know the
dealers who are - S
