The grounds were wet but the Curtis

approximately 420 miles it was cal-
culated unofficially.
The "St. Louis" In charge of H. F.
Honeywell of St. Louis which was
said to have traveled 420 miles In
reaching Brockton N. Y. stands sec-
ond In the rajs to date. It was calcu-
lated unofficially.

TO ENTER SHOOT
HONORING CLAY
The Houston Gun club will stage a
merchandise shoot at the club's traps
Sunday honoring John Clay whose
interest and energies have made the
club the success It has proven ac-
cording to members of the organiza-
tion. Nine events of 10 targets each are
on the card. The program will start
at 10 o'clock and continue until the
program ' is completed which will be
late in the afternoon.
Over 100 shooters are expected to
complete. Members of crubs from
North Side Chocolate Bayou Alvln
Lufkln and Beaumont are expected to
enter the meet.
The shooting Is open to the public.
There will be no fee charged the
participants paying only for the shells
and targets.
