Complimentary Luncheon.
The attractive home of Mrs. Kobert L.
Cox showed an artistic adornment of
flowers Thursday when at 1 o'clock she
entertained with a luncheon compliment-
ary to Miss Mary Carson Kidd. who is
visiting with her parents Mr. and Mrs.
George Kidd.
Shasta daisies were used In the decora-
tion of the hall while in the music room
library and hall an artistic combination
of pink and lavender flowers was used
most effectively.
The luncheon table was overspread by
a lace luncheon cloth and had for its cen-
tral dec-oration a stiver vase filled witn
pink roses. This teceptable was a gift
of the hostess from her music pupils of
the season Just ended. Near each end of
the tabje was placed a smal.er silver vase
holding six pink rosebuds to which was
attached lavender ribbons. These rib-
bons found their endings beneath indi-
vidual silver bonbqn dishes filled with
pink mints. The lovely rosebuds were
favors of the luncheon. The electrolier
was veiled with pink and lavender tulle
nil was intertwined with plumosa fern.
These colorings were also seen in the
mbankment of the flowers upon the buf
let. This effect was obtained by the use
of pink hloesqms tied with lavender silk
g;iuze ribbon.
Lavender and pink asters were caught
with the lavender and pink bows upon the
cuktail glasses and also appeared in the
attractively served courses of the
luncheon.
The place cards portrayed hand-painted
garlands of roses and contaiiuMl musical
quotations. Covers were placed for 12
and the guests included musicians and
musicians who thereby were given the op-
portunity to be with Miss Kidd. who has
won distinction In other cities as well as
in her home town. This hospitality as
vull as other parties given Mrs. Cox pro-
claims her an ideal hostess.

The dinlni; table was very artistic in
its embellishment of pink the different

menu of five courses. Crpe myrtle
placed in a crystal vase formed the cen-
tral decoration and around this as a cen-
terpiece were smaller vases of similar
desitrn filled with these flowers and linked
together with crystal chains. Crystal can-
dlesticks held the candles of the chosen
color. The mints and bonbons were
placed in crystal dil es and added to ti.e
daintiness of the attractively laid table.
The place cards showed a floral design
in pink col'rinps.
Flowers of various kinds were used to
adoi n the reception suite of this hopit-
able home the porch beinp very prettily
decorated by the use of wall pockets filled
with blossoms.

How to Judge a
Woman by Her Hair
There are always the well known and
semthumorous methods such as saying
brunettes are quick tempered or blondes
are keener In their mental activity. But
there Is real common sense in Just notic-
ing whether the hair Is well kept to Judge
a woman's neatness or In looking at
her style or arranging her hair to de-
cide whether or not she has good taste.
If you are one of the few who try to make
the most of your hair remember that it
is not advisable to wash the hair with any
cleanser made for all purposes but al-
ways use some good preparation made ex-
pressly for shampooing. You can enjoy
the very best by getting some canthrox
from your druggist and dissolving a tea-
spoonful In a cup of hot water when your
shampoo Is all ready. After Its use the
hair dries rapidly with uniform color
Dandruff excess oil and dirt are dis-
solved and entirely disappear. Your hair
will be so fluffy that It will look much
heavier than It is. Its lustre and soft-
ness will also delight you w'hlle the
stimulated scalp gains the health which
insures hair growth. AdvertUemaut
