The General Assembly of the Presbyterian
Church (USA) opens tomorrow in Fort Worth.
Delegates from across the nation are expect-
ed to consider a measure which could autho-
rize the church to fund a so-called “ex-gay”
program designed to use religious indoctrina-
tion to “change” gays into heterosexuals. More
Light Presbyterians, a group working within
the church for gay equality and inclusion, has
organized to fight the proposal, which will
come before the body on Monday.

Two Florida teenagers were convicted of par-
ticipating in the beating death of a gay man.
According to testimony, one of the teens kicked
the man 20 times after the man remarked that
the teen was “beautiful.”
