After the appropriation bill
is disposed of the tax bill will
come up and it may be called
out before the appropriation
bill is disposed oL It seems to
be the general opinion that tax-
es for this year will be raised
positively asserted that this
will not meet the demands and
that two years hence there will
still be a deficiency of one to
two million dollars This de-
partment asserts that taxes
should be increased to 30 cents
