MARK WHITE
GOVERNOR
August 29, 1986
Greetings:
As Governor of Texas, I am pleased to congratulate the
citizens of Waco on another successful year in commerce and
tourism.
It has been a very good year for tourism in Waco. The Air
Show was a huge success and attendance at the Texas Ranger Hall
of Fame has been very good because of our Sesquicentennial. The
Brazos Queen II has also been a big plus for tourism in Waco.
In terms of commerce, Waco continues to be on the move witl
several new buildings and new businesses. The State of Texas,
through the Texas Economic Development Commission, is also
lending a helping hand in your efforts to attract news buslnesse
and expand existing ones. In coming years, this partnership will
prove to be a great asset to the Waco community.
You have my sincere best wishes for continued success in al
your future endeavors. ,
Yours truly,
Mark White
