Dear Readers:
At our regular meeting this month,
we were happy that so many of our
members were able to come. So many
háve been confined Lo their bed with
illness.
We had an interesting meeting and
then we all did a craft. Our mem-
bers were divided into groups. Each
group was given the necessary ma-
terials and tools and then began to
proeeed with their craft ... to make
a Valentine and envelope for their
mother.
We were happy to see that we had so
many talented members in our club.
Their creations were beautiful, and we
feel that their mothers were pleasant-
ly surprised and pieased.
The attendance prize was won by
Johnny Vengler. Everybody cleaned up
his mess and departed for home.

Dear Readers,
Seeins that our community as well
as many others has been hit with bad
weatlier and a lot of illness. I Ihink
we are all ready for spring and a lot
of simshine.
At our last meeting, members were
given a eliance to express their ideas.
They decided that the members who
wish to be our new officers announce
their candidacies at our next meeting.
They are to make posters and give de~
tails of their qualifications,
At the meeting in April our candi-
dates will be allowed time to give
their campaign speeches. By planning
tlie program ahead, they will be ex-
peeted to háve good speeches and give
the voters a boiler chance to selecí;
tlie best one for each Office.
In May, we hope to háve every mem-
ber of our club háve the privilege to
cast a secret ballot. We feel that in
this way our young people can better
understand politics and eleetions . . .
and may the one best qualified for the
Office win.
