VĚSTNÍK
Brother Linn Pescaia wlth his
higher priced camera and develop-
ed and processed on Friday, June
18 to go into the June 23rd issue.
We’re glad you liked them. Four
other newspapers re^quested and got
the cover picture and we feel that
this helps our SPJST in the way of
publicity. Mary, you and Kathy
got more coverage than you reál-
ize;

Texas Folklife Festival will be
held August 5-8 in San Antonio
where visitors will háve a chance
to try kolache and learn about
other traditional aspects of Czech
liře. Score's of other activities are
scheduled for the event at the
Institute of Texas Cultures.
Most Texans know what kolache
are, whether the word is pronounc-
ed KO-lach or ko-LACE. Thaťs be-
cause the' Czech culture is well
fused into Texas life. This tanta-
lizing pastry, with its serumptious
poppyseed, prune, apricot, cream
cheese or pineapple filling, is famed
in Texas as a Czechoslovakian del-
icacy.
The Ed Kadleoek family (SPJST
members) of New Braunfels will
sing traditional songs, wearing cos-
tumes from their European heri-
tage. The Czech Folk Dance Club of
Dallas will perform the lively cir-
cle' dances known as Beseda.
If you can, attend this gala
folklife festival.
