VĚSTNÍK
from time to time:
Dear Editor Sefcik,
I’ve be'en reading the “History of
Buckholts” by John Stasa in the
last two editions of the Vestnik. It
is very meaningful to me as one of
the great-grandsons, of Thomas
and Veronica Zajicek and John
and Theresie Jurca, early day resi-
dents of Buckholts. It se’ems that
many of the people Mr. Stasa
writes about are related or long-
time, close friends of the family.
The article is very interesting
and informative. It was education-
al to le'arn that my great-grand-
father came to this country when
he was 7 years old. I had not
known this.
My hat is off to you and the
Vestnik for publishing and encour-
aging articles such as this. A spe-
ciál thanks to Mr. Stasa for all
the work he did in gathering and
writing this history. I hope it will
encourage others to do the same.
Thank goodne'ss it was not writ-
ten in Czech, or I would not háve
been able to read or understand it.
Kindest regards,
Larry Zajicek

And here is another letter:
Dallas, Texas
Dear Mr. Sefcik:
It was certainly a pleasure to
me'et you personally at the West-
fest.
The project was really outstand-
ing — my only regret is that I
didn’t stay both days.
If the project retains its genuine
Czech-Best flavor, I am sure’ it will
become one of Texas’ most out-
standing and noble traditional
events.
Sincerely,
Jerry Bartoš
