them, to be happy with simple bnt

Certainly this sort of happiness leads
to longevity of life. They are to be en-

District Winner’s
Banquet
The Winners’ Banquet of the SPJST
Organizers was exeeptionally well at-
tended, at Linden Halí Lodge No. 66,
Sunday, Oct. 20th, 1957.
The proceedings of the meeting after
the banquet were inspirational and we
hope that our Brother, District III Or~
ganizer Vrla-, will furnish us a detailed
report of the names of all the organizers
that were recognized and presented with
gifts.
It was one of the most outstanding
events that featurecl he winners of Dis-
trict V. and was well received by all
present.
The winners and lošers both háve
rendered to our SPJST Membership a
distinct Service.

Like the clock, you can make tirne pass
quicker by keeping your hands busy.
In the Czeeh section of this issue you
will find a picture of our Sister Clara
Hejl, Youth Direetor of District II of
our SPJST Fraternal Order.
Sister Hejl is truly one of our leaders
in the Youth Movement for as you wih
notě if you will read the English Section
in this issue, she not only had an out-
standing Handicraft Contest and Talent
Show at the Meeting in Holland of this
District, but she imiapped out a schedule
of Youth Activities for the coming year,
which she volunteered to share with any-
other District Youth Direetor in our
Order.
Sister Hejl is a school teacher by pro-
fession and her pupils love her for her
sunny disposition and understanding.
She in turn has left her mark upon
their character in that she has taught
those in her class who wished to do so,
to erochet. They all love her and carťt
wait to get into her class, so that she can
teaeh them. When they háve mastered
this art, any of her present and forrner
pupils can také any printed erochet in-
struction and make anything they deslre
to beautify their homes and to make
gifts.
The whole SPJST is proud of our Dis-
trict II Youth Direetor and sincerely
congratulate that District for having
such a pearl in their midst.
Our best wishes to you Sister Hejl.
