Sister Albína Stasa was taken to
the Memoriál Medical Center in
Corpus Christi, on, September 11,
1974. Her health had worsened ,so
that she required 24 hour nurses’
attention. Her daughter, Lillie
Huber of Austin, had arrived on
September 9th and then returned
to her home niter a few days’ stay.
Sinee then, Sister Stasa has
been transferred to the Medi-
Center for further care. We cer-
tainly sympathize with her and
Brother Stasa, espeeially at his
advanced age of 80 plus years.

A Correction
In the September 11, 1974 íssue
of our Věstník, page 17, column 3,
we inadvertantly left off the last
paragraph of Brother John Stasa’s
letter. We regret the error and
are publishing it now; that par-
ti.cular page had been misplaced.
It read as follows:
Not all of the named members
we re present at this enjoyable oc-
casion for various reasons: sick-
ness, old age and transportation.
The gymnastic number part of that
program was rewarded with a big
applause.
Mistress of Ceremonies Sister
Mildred Elzner, read the names
and their activities and President
(Starosta) Brother Frank Veselka
distributed the pins (Sokolské odz-
naky) .
Fraternally,
John Stasa, Reportér

In the October 2 issue, page 21,
column 3 there was an error in the
Expression of Sympathy for Sister
L. B. (Georgia) Dobecka, in the
second paragraph. It should háve
read: “KJZT Society No. 11.” in-
stead of 31. We hereby correct this.
Sometimes the things against
which we rebel most in life and
look upon as obstacles and hind-
rances are the very things needed
to develop our highest usefulness
and efficiency.
We doubt not that if the dia-
mond could express itself, it would
rebel against the gruelling, bum-
ing contact of the polísheťs wheel
that grinds and polishes its séveral
facets. Without the contact of the
polishehs stone, the diamond has
little eommercial value. The swiftly
revolving wheel euts int-o its sur-
