The third annual conference oř
Czeeh Teachers and Students will
také plače again this year at Lodge
29, Taylor, on Saturday afternoon,
April lOth. The conference will get
under way at 4 p.m. followed by
a supper, sociál and dance. Music
will be furnished by the Joe Patek
Orchestra of Shiner. These con~
ferences háve been, and are again
this year, sponsored by the Czeeh
Club at the University of Texas.
Robert Ermis is president of the
Czeeh Club. The public is invited,
especially those who are interested
in supporting the cause of the
Czeeh language in Texas in var~
ious institutions of learning.

ration for the upcoming conven-
tion.

PREAMBLE, NAME, PURPOSE,
ORGANIZATION — No change.
MEMBERSHIP _ Delete (EF-
FECTIVE IMMEDIATELY).
SUPREME LODGE — No change
DIRECTORS — No< change
CONVENTION — No change
LANGUAGE — No change
ARTICLE 1 — Change (c) to
read: The words “Supreme Lodge’'
means the officers and directors
of the Society.
(k) to read: The word “sociál
member” means a member who
cannot be insured on account of
his age or health or has a prema-
turely paid up certificate of less
than $500, and who pays his local
lodge dues and assessments, if any,
annually in advance.
ARTICLE 2 — No change
ARTICLE 3 — No change
ARTICLE 4 — Under (a) change:
1. From 20 — 150 members over
16 years of age, one delegáte.
2. For each additional 150 mem-
bers, One additional delegáte.
3. A lodge attaining an addition-
al 1.50 members between the
annual meeting and 60 days
before the convention shall be
entitled to an additional dele-
gáte, per each 150 members, as
provided in Art. 4-e(4).
(b) A lodge organized during the
convention year may elect its dele-
gates and substitutes any time be-
fore convening of the convention.

three (3) years preceding the elec-
tion of its delegates may elect its
delegates and their substitutes
from among those'members having
attended a majority of the regular
tneetings from the dáte of its or-
ganization.

4. Not more than 10- substitute
delegates are elected. Such subs-
titute shall be elected in the same
manner as the delegates. If a
lodge is entitled to an additional
delegáte, as provided in Art. 4-a-3,
or if anyone of the elected dele-
gates cannot go to the convention,
for whatever reason, the substi-
tute with the highest number of
votes fills the first vacancy. The
same proceduře is continued until
aill substitutes are depleted, in
whích čase additional delegates are
elected, if needed.
5. Delegates approveď by the
Credentials Committee and the
Convention, who are present and
voting at the convention, shall
divide all the local lodge’s votes
equally among themselves.
ARTICLE 5 — Under (b)
1. A statement of the number of
regular meetings held by the
lodge the delegáte is repre-
senting.
2. The number of regular meefc-
ings attended by the delegáte
in the three calendar years
preceding the convention.
. ARTICLE 6 — Delete (EFFEC-
TIVE 2:35 p.m. June 20, 1972) from
the conclusion of (b).
ARTICLE 7
1a) The regular convention is
held once eveity fbur years in
complíance with the laws of the
State of Texas. If a mattfer arises
between conventions that needs
the approval of the delegates, the
Supreme Lodge may conduct a
referendum by polling the dele-
gates by secret ballot (the pro-
ceduře for the secret ballot to be
determined by the Supreme Lodge)
by mail. Such action will be ac-
companied by an adequate expla-
nation. With the same number of
votes based on previous convention.
Add — (b) In the event of death,
incapacity or transfer to another
lodge of a delegáte, he shall au-
tomatically be repiaced by the first
substitute of such lodge.
Add — (c) In event of merger of
two or more lodges, those delegates
of each lodge shall be entitled to
the same number of votes he had
at the preceding convention.
ARTICLE 8
A speciál convention may be
called by a 2/3 vote of the Su-
preme Lodge, whenever any matter,
concerning the welfare of the So-
ciety, cannot be resolved in any
other way. Not less than 2/3- of
the lodges shall partieipate in the
convention. Such convention shall
be held at the plače selected by the
Supreme Lodge and will be repre-
sented by the delegates of the pre-
ceding convention. The speciál con-
vention will decide or resolve only
the issue or question for which it
was called. At the convention the
delegates from each lodge háve
the same number of votes as such
lodge had at the preceding con-
vention.
