Lodge. He also appoints a tempo™
rary committee of 7 tellers to tab-
ulate votes during the election of
the chairman and co-chairman of
the convention.
(i) Pollowing the elections of the
Supreme Lodge officers and editor
in the convention the delegatss of
the respective districts will convene
in separate district meetings in
places indicated by the convention
chairman. The purpose of these
meetings will be to nominate the
district director and substitute,
member of the. committee on by-
iaws and substitute, member on the
Insurance Committee and subs-
titute, member on the Publication
Committee and substitute, and a
member of the Finance Committee
and substitute. Each delegáte will
vote in aceordance with Artiele
4 (a-4) of the by-laws.
(m) No request for donations,
support, salaries or inerease of
salaries may be presented to the
convention until considered, ap-
proved or rejected by the Finance
Committee. . . .etc.
ARTICLE 13 — Delete (b) and

(f) Committee on Election Tel-
lers, seven members. (This com-
mittee is to háve authority to em-
ploy machine operators if needed.)
ARTICLE 14

— The proceduře for the election

tee secretary and the Supreme
Lodge of the results of the election.

Czech language and will be pub-
lished in the language in which

ARTICLE 19
The Insurance Committee has
the righfc to meet two (2) fcimes,
■with one meeting six (8) months
prior to the convention. Before
submitting its recommendations
three months prior to the conven-
tion to the committee on by-laws,
these recommendations must be re-
viewed by the actuary. Members
of this committee will receive com-
pensation for attending such meet-
ings as adopted by the preceding
convention, and will functlon dur-
ing the succeeding convention.

(a) The Finance Committee is
a standing committee and will
meet at least once in the year of
the convention, after Jan. 1, for
the purpose of getting and study-
ing information on the overall
financial posture of the Society,
in order to fulfill their responsi-
bilities during and between eon-
ventions.
The Finance Committee recom-
mends per díem of delegates and
committees, salaries of members Of
the Supreme Lodge and editor, do-
nations, allocations, expenditures,
etc.

amended.

ARTICLE 27
(a) In the event of death, resig-
nation, incompetence, or perman-
ent incapacity of any member of
the Supreme Lodge, Chief Medical
Examiner, editor, or statě youth
director, such vacancy will be filled
by the Supreme Lodge, excepting
the Office of the president and the
directors. The Office of the presi-
dent siiall be filled. according to
Art. 31 (a). The Office of a director
shall be filled by his substitute in
aceordance with Art. 53 (f) (1).
Ob) The determination as to
whether incompetence or perman-
ent incapacity exists shall be made
by a 2/3 vote of the Supreme
Lodge.
ARTICLE 28
(b) No member of the Supreme
Lodge can buy property from this
Society.
ARTICLE 29.
(a) Regular meetings af the Su-
preme Lodge are held quarfcerly,
the second week in January, April,
July and Oetober. . . . etc.
ARTICLE 30. President
(h) With the approval of the
president, each Supreme Lodge of-
ficer has the right to ernploy em-
ployees working directly under him
and be personally responsible for
performing their duties.
ARTICLE 31. Vice President
Transfer (e) to Art. 31 (k).
Make new (e) He reviews all
non-medical applications. The
questionable applications are re-
ferred to the Chief Medical Ex-
aminer.
(j) He appoints, with approval of
the Supreme Lodge, one, or more if
needed, statě field managers whose
primary duties shall be to assist
the vice president in the discharge
of all duties in the Insurance De-
partment. The statě' field man-
ager shall receive such salary and
expense allowance as may be fi^ed
by the Supreme Lodge. A person,
in order to be considered for ap-
pointment as statě field manager,
must háve been an active member
of this Society for at least two (2)
years prior to his appointment and
does not háve all of his Insurance
with the Society prematurely ex-
changed for paid-up insurance.
ARTICLE 32. Secretary-Treasurer
(e) He pročures loans at the
suggestion of the SUpreme Lodge.

ARTICLE 36 — Supreme Lodge
(d) The Supreme Lodge has the
authority to discharge employees
for incompetence in service and for
unbecoming conduct; fills vacan-
cies in the Supreme Lodge, editor,
and Chief Medical Examiner, with
the exception of the president, as
specified in Art. 31 (a), and direc-
tors as specified in Art. 53-f (1&2).

(w) The bond for the Supreme
Lodge shall be $50,000 each, pro-
cured by the president of the Su-

Lodge will remit annually, to local
lodges, an adequate amount per
refund check to cover maílíng ex-
penses.
(z) Add, at the conclusion of the
paragraph: The ^upřeme Lodge
will periodically hold workshops
for the training of local lodge of-
ficers.
