POKROK SWEET HOME LODGE NO. 65
Sweet Home, Texas
Dear Editor and Memberrs:
Our April meeting had a nice attend-
ance with all officers present. The gen-
erál routine of lodge business that
comes before a meeting such as read-
ing the minutes, paying dues etc. was
disposed of and then a free discussíons
on subjects such as Home for the Su-
preme Lodge; State Organizer, Old
Folks Home, Investment of i Morťuary
fund, Election of Supreme Officers and
their salaries and a few other things
that highly concern cur SPJST. I think
such discussions should be held in every
local lodge so as to give our delegates a
preview how the members stand on these
questions so they can • form their opin-
ion how to vote not only to please them-
selves but also to please their fellow
members.
As the old sayings go: Two or more
heads know more than one. The majority
wins. Laws and rules should be obeyed.
Order is heaven’š first law. Things doně
by halves are never doně right. “What is
worth doiríg at all is worth. doing well.”
“Strike while the iron is hot.” “Honesty
is the best policy.” “Haste makes waste.”
