cumbed on April 27, 1969 in Ráchraond,
Texas. Interment was in tlie S't. Phil-
lips Catholic Cemetery, El Campo. Bro.
Tříska was a member of Lodge 81.

Bro. Wesley Trojacek passed. away
April 14, 1969 in Ennis at the age of
70. Burial was held in St. Joseph’3
Cemetery, Ennis. Bro. Trojacek was a
member of Lodge 25.

Bro. Emil M. Licka died May 5, 1969
at the age of 61, in Temple. Interment
•was held in the Taylor City Cemetery.
Bro. Licka was a member of Lodge 20.

An Invitaiion to the SPJST picnic
At Corpus Christi
SPJST Lodge Anton J. Čermák No.
56 is having its 36th annual picnic at
the Sokol Halí, 5440 Kostoryz Road on
fcunday,. May 25, 1969. Barbecued beef,
with all the trimmings, will be served
from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Supper will be
served from 5 to 7 p.m. Price is $1.25
a plate. Carry-outs will be prepared
for those who cannot stay.
In the afternoon there will be music
by Leo Ma.|ek’s orchestra, a welcome
speech by the president of our local
lodge, Ádolph Sassin, plus other en-
tertaimnent and refreshments. Our
sisters and brothers are asked to help
out in the kitchen, and also to bring
pastry as usual.
The public is cordially invited.

LODGE STEFANIK NO. 142, HOUSTON
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I want to remind you that ther is
an important dáte we all should cir-
cle on our calendars and that is May
25th, on which dáte we are proud to
say that our Lodge Stefanlk No. 142,
SPJST will observe its 50th Anniver-
sary.
At 11:30 a. m. we will háve a bar-
becued chicken and sausage dinnér
with all the trimmings At 1 p. m. we
will háve a principál speaker from the
Supreme Lodge, and then the youth
club will háve a short program, and
we will play games and háve a eountry
store. Then, from 5 to 9 p. m. we will
háve a dance with mu sic by the
Clarence Bača Orchestra.

We want to také th-is opportunity of
invíting all of the Supreme Lodge of-
ficers and their families, and our edi-
tor, Bro. Rudy Sefcik and his famiiy
and all the other SPJST lodges to be
with us on that day.

Bear Friends,
This is just a friendly reminder con-
cerning the Sunday, May 25th barbe-
cued chicken dinner for Lodge 6
members and their families.
There will be a business meeting at
2 p.m. which will be followed by the
dinner. Please try and come if at all
possible.
Also, every Wednesday night Lodge
6 is open to members for a work proj-
ect and game night,
Correction: In the May 14.bh issue of
the Věstník it was noted that Lodge 6
made a memoriál .gift to the West
Rest Haven in memory of departed
Bro. Joseph Kolenovsky. This was my
error. It should háve been the SPJST
Rest Home at Taylor.

Bear Members,,
Our May 4th meeting was called to
order at 2 p. m. by President Henry
Mareš. The youth led the assembly in
the Pledge of Allegiance.,
The youth will sponsor a íamuy ice
cream sociál, Fríday, May 23 at 7:30
p. m. All members are invited to attend

and bring a friend, íf possible. Each
famiiy is asked to bring a freezer of
ice cream, and if you are not able to
bring ice cream then bring cake or
cookies. After that, the youth will play
games, and the older members can play
dominoes,
Our next meeting will be June 8,
promptly at 2 p. m.

LODGE 81, NEKDVILLE
Bear Members:
Our regular meeting was held Sun-
day, May llth at 2:30 p. m. President
Matcek called the meeting to order
with the Pledge of Allegiance sald in
unison.
Members stood in silent tribute to
departed members Sister Amiie Haj -
dik and Brother Richard Triska.
Tlie minutes and correspondence
were read. Our treasurer gave his re-
port.
Sister Anita suchma spent a few
days In the hospital and Bro. Victor
Werner had a slight accident with a
wrench which required several stitches
in his forehead.
The lodge had seme cards printed
to notify members of their prémium
reíund.
Motions passed were: To dissolve the
building committee for the present.
Install the post and light in the back
yard. Establish a Memoriál Fund. for
the new Rest Home to be located In
Needville, Mrs, lila Suchma will be In
charge. And to hold our May meetings
cn the third Sunday in the fufcure,
As of June 1 our Lodge will be in
need of a youth leader. I am sorry I
had to resign. But it takés more time
than i can devote to it. I háve cer-
talnly enjoyed the past 3 years work-
íng with the youth.
New members are Lori Michelle Sury,
Dr. Joe Yelderman and Charles W.
and Gloria Jean Janke. Transferred
from Lodge 28 East Bernard on the
Family Pian are Joe Willíam Fishar,
Betty Ann Físhar, Loretta Lynn Fishar
and Dianna Lynn Fishar.
Mrs. Lee Hausler became a sociál
member.
Remember our sociál game nites ev-
ery third Tuesday of the month.
The dooř prize donated by Sis. Emilie
Kolaja was won by Bro. Charlie Matcek.
