The Baylor Symphony Orchestra wiil
per for m Beethoveni Ninih Symphony
and Anton Dvořák's “Te Deum” in a
speciál cóncert in Waco Halí on the
Baylor Univ. Campus on December
16th. A ,100-voice chorus will also be
featured.

Recently we had the pleasure of a
visit to the print shop by Bro. John
Bubák of Dallas who is chairman of
the Czech Day at the annual State
Fair of Texas in Dallas and who was
aecompanied by Dr. Svoboda from
Czechoslovakia who is herc for thrce
years and is presently with the Dal-
las Theater Center. We werc very glad
to háve made his acquaintance.

Last-minute notě: While in Pasa-
dena for the formal dedication of
Lod.ge Rozkvet Pasadena No. 172, where
their charter was presented to the of-
ficers, rve received the news that Bro.
Joe B. Hejny, our SL vice president,
had been in bed since Friday with an
imwelcomed visitor: the flu. We wish
hirn a speedy and complete recovery.

Paul Sahlatura of Louise imderwent
surgery early last Tuesday morning. We
all wish him a rapid recovery.

P. P. Baron, 67, passed away Novem-
bei 20th. Interment took plače Satur-
day, Nov. 22, at Latium in Washington
Co. Bro. Baron was a longtime mem-
ber of SPJST Lodge No. 1, Fayetteville,
having served as .secretary of his lodge
for many years.
. Bro. Frank J. Branril, age 93, passed
away Novem ber 18, 1969 in Richmond,
Texas. He was placed to eternal rest in
the National Cemetery in East Ber-
nard, Texas, and was a member of
Lodge Karel Jonas No. 28, East Ber-
nard.

Bister Albina Polášek, age 67, suc-
cumbed November 8, 1969 in Cameron,
Texas. She was interred in the New
Tábor Cemetery and was a member tu
Lodge Novy Tábor No. 17, New Tábor.

Bro. Bartlett P. Chapman passed
away Octobor 25, 1969, at the age of 50
in Henderson, Texas. He was buried
in the Brookside Memoriál Park, Hous-
ton, and was a member of Lodge Pok-
rok Houston No. 88, Houston..

Lodge No. 130 will hold a Christmas
tíance December 13, with Eíic Honza
furnishing the music for your dancing
