over the week end. Ronnie remain-
ed In De Leon for summer vacation

reported resting well Monday In the School will be held for one week in
local hospital. the Texon Union Church by four
Jean Safley, nurse at the local young people from Baylor Unlver-

W F Wright this week. Said they
slept through the recent earth-
quake there and knew nothing
about It until the next morning
Mrs Wright reports that Dad has
not shown much Improvement
which we are all sorry to hear
W. E Clemmer of Santa Rita
spent last week end in Abilene.
Mr and Mrs. Fred Boggs were in
Lometa Sunday visiting friends
Their son. Richard, remained in
Lometa for the summer.
Mr. and Mrs. J A Potter and Mr
and Mrj. Barney Ensley were sight-
seeing in Villa Acuna. Mexico, last
week end
Mr and Mrs. J B Downing and
Mr and Mrs Bert Rogers brought
home a big mess of fish from Mert-
zan last Sunday

lege and received his degree in

OF RIG LAKE
Cpl. Billy Taylor reported to
Carswell Air Base, Ft Worth, Mon-
day after visiting here with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. T L Taylor,
for the past 45 days. Cpl Taylor
was stationed on Ouam for the last
18 months before returning to the
states.
Tlbba McMullan. freshman stu-
dent at Texas Tech, was here last
Friday evening to attend the Rea-
gan County High School gradua-
tion exercises of her sister, Dixie.
Accompanying Tlbba were three
fellow Tech students, Margaret
Clark of Van Horn, Betty Peavely
of Sanderson and Helen Holley of
Odessa They were accompanied to
Lubbock Saturday morning by
Frank McMullan. Jr and Tootney
Orr Also here for Dixie's gradua-
tion were her grandfather, D. K.
McMullan, Sr. and his niece, Min
Zona McMullan. of Snyder.
Mr. and Mrs. Oeo. D. Alexander
were In Aspcrmont last Thursday
night to attend the high school
graduation exercises of his nephew,
James Kolb, who came home with
them and accompanied them to
Brady Sunday to see Mr. Alexand-
er's mother, who Is recuperating
from a recent operation.
