MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
IS BEING OFFERED AT
SAN ANGELO COLLEGE
A two-year scholarship at San
Angelo College has been establish-
ed as a memorial to Dr Oeorge D.
Morgan.
This scholarship Includes tuition,
books and other necessary expenses
for a worthy young man who has
been forced to give up his hope of
attending college because of lack of
finances.
The applicant should have been
In the top 10 per cent of his high
school class, and would be expected
to maintain a high scholastic rec-
ord
He should have leadership abil-
ity.
He should be a young man who
lacks necessary funds to finance
his first two years at college
He should be a young man of
good moral character.
The scholarship committee may
exercise Its own judgment In mak-
ng the award
Applications should bo mailed to

OFFICERS LAST WEEK
Mrs. Tom Mlskell was re-elected
teacher of the T. E. L. Class of the
Baptist Sunday School Thursday
afternoon of last week when mem-
bers met In the Mlskell home for
the class’ monthly and social meet-
ing
Mrs. R R. Blair was re-named
class president and Mrs. L E. Lan-
ford was named secretary-treasur-
er to succeed Mrs. Jess Pruett.
Committee chairmen Included Mrs.
E Price Miller, personal minis-
tries; Mrs. Virgil Duncan, ste-
wardship; and Mrs Noble Holt,
membership
Mrs. Pruett and Mrs Holt pre-
sented a skit showing the proper
and Improper method In soliciting
new membership. It was announced
that Mrs Oordon Roach will be
hostess to the class In Its meeting
next month. Following the serving
of refreshments, most of those
present Joined in a visitation pro-
gram led by Mrs Mlskell and Mrs.
Holt.
