ARRIVES FROM OVERSEAS
The T L Taylors received a wire
from their son, Cpl Billy Taylor,
who served the past 18 months
overseas in the Army Air Corps,
that he was back in the States and
was at Camp Stoneman. Calif He
expects to have a furlough home by
the middle of this month Most of
Cpl Taylor's overseas duty has
been on the island of Guam While
in Japan he attended the Keio Uni-
versity The remainder of his serv-
ice. extending until next January,
w ill be spent in the States

been attending school in Odessa,

man in the Reagan County High
Schcol. Mary Ellen, who was a
member of the Odessa Junior High
Choral Club, won top honors at the
Alpine meet last Saturday She |
placed first as an Individual singer
and the trio In which she sang also
placed first She Is the daughter of
Mr and Mrs J L Hightower who
ire recent newcomers to Big Lake
Mr Hightower Is employed at the
Wtteo Plant east of town
