Expression
Of Sympathy
We, the Resolution Committee of
Seaton Star Lodge No. 47 on behalf of
our membership, express our sincere
sympathy to the bereaved family of
our departed brother
LESLIEE. MESECKE,
who died Saturday, September 23,
1989 in a Temple hospital. He was 63.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday,
September 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church with the Rev. John
Boiko officiating. Burial was in
Bellwood Memoriál Park. Rosary was
recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday,
September 25 at Harper - Talasek
Funeral Home in Temple.
Mr. Mesecke was born in Concho
County to Richard and Minnie
Mesecke. He married the former Vertis
Braden in 1955. He was a World War
II Army veterán.
He was a meat inspector for the
Texas Department of Health and a
sales representative for the Farmers
Mutual Protective Association. He
was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic
Church.
He was preceded in death by his
parents and a brother, Milton
Mesecke.
Survivors are his wife, Vertis
Mesecke of Temple; a son, Dewayne
Mesecke of Temple; three daughters,
Janice Brown and Lisa Mesecke, both
of Temple and Peggy Wagman of
Georgetown; two brothers, Nolan
Mesecke of San Angelo and Curtis
Mesecke of Piano and a sister, Lorene
Davis of Duncanville.
May our departed brother rest in
eternal peace and may his memory live
among us forever.

Of Sympathy
We, the Resolution Committee of
SPJST Lodge No. 79, Corpus Chrisd
on behalf of our membership, wish to
express our sincere sympathy to the
bereaved family of our departed sister
MARY HERMIS,
who passed away Wednesday, October
4, 1989 in a local nursing home at the
age of 81 years.
She had been a member of Sokol
and SPJST.
Sister Hermis was preceded in death
by her husband, Ludwig Hermis in
1960, also one brother, Adolph Sassin.
Survivors include four daughters,
Mrs. Frank (Margaret) Majek,
Henrietta Fullen, Mrs. Mark (Virginia)
Rebecek, all of Corpus Christi, Texas,
Mrs. Russell (Mary Ann) McClain of
Virginia Beach, Virginia; one son,
W.L. (Daisy) Hermis of Corpus
Christi; one sister, Maggie Kristek of
Yoakum, Texas; 12 grandchildren,
seven great - grandchildren plus
numerous nieces and nephews.
