For someone speciál.
Iťs almost that time of year again — Christmas!
Another time to wonder what in the world will we
buy our grandkids. We dorťt want to spend money
on frivolous items. Naturally, we want to buy theni
things that will bring enjoyment. But what?
Computer games? Clothes? Games? Toys?
All items they will soon outgrow.
How about an SPJST insuranee certificate? You could
buy them a paid-up life insuranee certificate — a gift that
will not lose its value and will help them in the future.
Since the prémium is paid for in one lump sum, the parents
don’i háve to worry about making future prémium payments.
Whaťs more, the grandkids can keep the certificate in force after T
they grow up or use the cash value as needed. Too, membership in
the SPJST makes them eligible for lots of other good things like camp, ******
youth program and schoiarships.
For help with gift-fouying ideas for your grandctiildren or children,
please contact an SPJST sales representative in your lodge or call the
SPJST Home Office in Temple at (Boo) 727-75778.
meal being served at 12:15 p.m. The
adult meeting will be at 1 p.m. with the
youth club meeting folio wing.
Members are asked to bring a side dish
or dessert. It was discussed to ask
members to help out with various char-
ities including: donating nonperishable
food for needy families; donating
towards the Toys for Tots program; and
giving items to send to the soldiers in
Iraq for “Operation Valentine,”
Election of delegates to the 2004
SPJST Convention was then held.
Delegates representing Lodge 30 will
be Wanda Dorotik, Karen Kašpar, and
Lisa Bubela. Altemate delegates are
Nancy Fucik, Marjorie Treumer, and
Yvonne Marcaurele.
The annual election of officers for
the upcoming year followed. The 2004
Taiton Lodge 30 officers are
President/Reporter Karen Kašpar; Vice
President Yvonne Marcaurele;
Secretary/FAC Wanda Dorotik; and
Treasurer/Youth Leader Lisa Bubela.
A discussion was held on getting
more members involved in the monthly
activities of the lodge. Volunteers will
be asked to participate on various com-
mittees at the December meeting in
order to share the interests of the lodge.
Looking forward to seeing everyone
at the Christmas sociál on Sunday,
December 14!
