Lodge 24, Cyclone express their sin-
cere sympathy to the family of our
departed lodge brother,
MILTONW. JAŠEK.
Services for Milton W. Jašek, 83 of
Buckholts were held at 10 a.m.
November 30, 1998 in Sheffield
Funeral Home in Rogers, Texas the
Reverend John Kuecker officiating.
Mr. Jašek died Saturday November
28,1998 in a Temple hospital.
He was born in Buckholts Apríl 19,
1915 to Joe and Frances Macek Jašek.
He served in the U. S. Army during
World War II and a life long farmer.
He lived in the Buckholts area all f his
life and was a member of SPJST
Lodge 24, Cyclone. He married
Matilda Bartek.
Survívors are his wife Matilda
Jašek of Buckholts and a sister,
Sedonia Ludsik of Wharton.
May our departed brother rest in
peace.,

Reunions
Heinrich Family Reunion
The descendants of Michael
Heinrich Family from (Austria-
Moravia) will hold their biennial
reunion Saturday, March 20, 1999
in High Hill, Texas at St. Mary's Halí.
The brothers Joseph, Wenzel and
Franz who were direct descen-
dants of Michael, emigrated to
Texas around the early 1860s.
Activities will begin with registra-
tion and visiting at 10 a.m. followed
by a catered meal at 12 noon. The
afternoon will consist of committee
reports, business activity and more
visiting and mingling. The planning
committee includes Don Heinrich
from Slaton, Texas; Bernice
Rainosek from San Marcos, Texas
and Clerus and Regina Heinrich
from Houston, Texas.
Motel accommodations may be
made in Schulenburg by calling
409-743-4192. RSVP meal reserva-
tions to Clerus Heinrich at 713-643-
9821. The cut-off dáte for all reser-
vations is Friday, March 21, 1999.

outlines plans
for exciting youth
leader workshop
Dear SPJST Youth Leaders,
I invite you to participace in the
1999 SPJST Youth Leaders’ Workshop
set for Friday, March 12 to Sunday,
March 14 at Camp Lone Star in
LaGrange, Texas. This year’s work-
shop theme is “A Proud Past — A
Bright Future.”
This is an action-packed workshop
fuil of fun and learning for all youth
leaders and their spouses/guests.
Assistant youth leaders and their
spouses/guests are also welcome to
attend. I encourage you to attend and
také advantage of this opportunity to
acquíre new ideas for your youth club.
Early registration begins at 7 p.m.
on Friday. The evening will feature a
campfire chat so bring your SPJST
youth program ideas. Campfire
singing, snacks and games will round
out the evening.
Saturday is “SPJST Youth Leader
Day.” A flag and friendship ceremony
begins the day at 7:45 a.m. followed by
breakfast and registration. The work-
shop begins at 9 a.m. The day will be
filled with workshops on topics like
fundraising, goodwill projects, party
planning, program ideas, scrapbooking,
and membership drives. A craft
exchange and tarok instruction will
also be a part of this yeaťs workshop.
1999-2000 youth club rule book
updates will also be presented. Author
Cynthia Rose will speak about preserv-
ing our proud past. All youth leaders
will be recognized at an evening ban-
quet. After dinner, participants will
look into the future with Astronomy
instructor Charles Wheeler.
If you cannot get away for the entire
weekend, please attend on Saturday.
Registration is from 8 to 9 a.m. on
Saturday morning. A workshop regis-
tration form will appear in next week’s
Vestnik.

insurance. It was interesting.
As our refreshment, we had suckers
and drinks. After our meeting, we
played a game that we learned from
our workshop in Waco., Iťs where
someone asks you a question and if the
question agrees with you, you do what-
ever it tells you. It was fun.
During our meeting, we discussed
old as well as new business. We also
discussed our Vaientine’s party that
we’re having Saturday, February 13
from 6 to 8.
Our next meeting will be March 3 at
the halí. Come join us!

efforts support elderly
Dear Readers,
Our meeting for February was well
attended.
Our charities for February were:
• Cards to people in our community;
9 Cookies for the elderly; and
8 Valentine cards for elderly at the
nursing home
We talked about changes in dates for
Youth Achieveraent Day and camp.
We will be having a Valentine’s party
on February 13. We will háve pizza
and either cookies or chips from a fam-
ily member.

Valentine crafts. Our speaker was
Bifly Orsak. He’s an insurance agent.
He talked to us about the recent hail
damage. Thank you.
We are having a Valentine’s Dance
February 13. We can bring a friend.

Lodge 9 Youth Club had a Valentine
pizza party and dance on Saturday,
February 13 at the SPJST Halí. We got
to invite a friend. Everyone had fun.

into Valentine’s Day
Dear Vestnik Readers,
The Snook Youth Club had their
monthly meeting on February 3rd at
the SPJST Halí. Kimberly and I were
in charge of crafts, dooř prizes and
games. We made Valentine cards for
friends and to také to the rest home.
Thanks to Bifl Orsak, who spoke to
us about Farm Bureau Insurance.
We discussed having a Valentine
Dance on February 13. We made
cookie bags and cards for the elderly
and people in our community.
Our next meeting is March 3rd at
6:30 p.m.

Youth Club reports
on February meeting
Dear Vestnik Readers,
The February meeting of the Lodge
No. 29 Youth Club was cailed to order
at 3 p.m. by Vice President Jennifer
Johle. Mark Johle led the Pledge of
Allegiance. The register was read.
There were 19 members and ten adults
present. Guests introduced were
Brittany Meyers, Michael Thorton,
George Beard and Donald.
The minutes were read and
approved. Lacy Červenka gave the
treasurer’s report. Our Youth Leader
reported on several items.
The youth club signed a sympathy
card for the parents of Allyson
Hol man.
Under new business, we elecíed
Brooke Hegar and Lindsey Green as
flag bearers. We then took a count of
all of the teens who were interest in the
Leaders in Training (LIT) Retreat, dis-
cussed National Service Day and
decided to go to Port Aransas for our
summer trip.
Fund raising projects coming up
will include a car wash and fried chick-
en dinner. The meeting was adjourned
at 3:35 p.m. Before the meeting, the
members made St. Patrick’s Day crafts
for the rest home tree. Make plans,
next Sunday, February 28, to meet at
the rest home to decorate the tree.
