Letter
to
the Editor
Dear Editor:
On the tonight show on Sep-
tember 20th, Jay Feno made
this statement:
’’With hurricanes, tornados,
fires out of control, mud slides,
flooding, severe thunderstorms
tearing up the country from one
end to another, and with the
bird flu and terrorist attacks,
“Are we sure this is a good time
to take God out of the Pledge of
Allegiance?“
I want to take that a few
steps further- our young people
are being bullied in school and
on the internet causing such
emotional pain that they resort
to suicide. Young people are
shooting and stabbing others
in their schools, killing veter-
ans on the streets for as little
as $150.00, or killing someone
with reasons such as “it would
be fun”. In view of the way
things are going maybe it isn’t
a good time to take God out of
our schools.
In the same vein I am a little
confused about Atheists- when
they are sick or injured they
don’t seem to mind going to a
Christian doctor or hospital.
They don’t want tax dollars go-
ing to schools that allow prayer,
they want all inscriptions refer-
ring to God removed from our
federal buildings. This country
was founded on one God. An
old saying coined by World War
II veterans was “There are no
atheists in fox holes”
If you care for and love our
country as I do, take the time to
pass this on just as I did for you.
NOTHING is going to happen
if you don’t!
“If we ever forget that we’re
one nation under God, then we
will be a nation gone under”-
