Pirate Alley, located in
Crandall, TX, just off of Hwy
175, is now officially under new
ownership. Just last month, Ter-
rie Lopez took over as owner of
the business.
Pirate Alley specializes in
school uniforms and custom em-
broidery. They are open now six
days a week, from 10am-6pm
everyday except for Wednes-
day, Saturday, and Sunday. On
Wednesday they are open from
9am-12pm an on Saturday their
hours are 9am-lpm. They are
closed on Sundays.
“I really enjoy the customers
we have,” said Terrie. “We are
here everyday and look forward
to being a part of the commu-
nity.”
Just because the name on
the business says Pirate, doesn’t
mean that you can’t come and
shop for your kid a school uni-
form if they do not go to Crandall
schools. Pirate Alley welcomes
students from other school dis-
tricts to come and get their uni-
forms here.
For more information about
Pirate Alley, feel free to stop in
and see all they have to offer or
you can give them a call at 972-
427-6833.

Outdoors - continued from p 5
never once gobbled but when he
spotted the hens (real and artifi-
cial), he stopped and strutted.
So, if this is your first sea-
son to hit the spring woods in
quest of a big gobbler, remember
this statement I once heard from
an old turkey hunter: “Just like
people, no two turkeys sound
the same.” Granted, we humans
might think all turkeys sound
identical just as turkeys probably
think the voice of one human
sounds just like that of all hu-
mans. If you can make a four or
five note yelp that closely mim-
ics that of a hen turkey, you’re
ready to hunt! You can learn all
those subtle cutts, purrs and fly
down calls as you become more
experienced. Many, many gob-
blers have been attracted within
shotgun range with the basic hen
yelp!

Luke Clayton radio at www.

Luke with hunting and fishing
news from your area via the
web site.
Some of Luke’s favorite
spots to hunt spring turkey:
Mike and Lori Ford’s Rio
Rojo Rancho www.riorojoran-
cho.com in Red River County is
a good spot to hunt Eastern birds.
Ranger Creek Ranch www.
rangercreekranch.com in Knox
County is a great spot to go after
Rio Grande birds.
