• The eighth grade Dobbers defeated
the Bushland Black Hawks 20-0
Thursday night.
Tulia continues to roll up offensive
yards as they totaled 199 total yards
rushing and passing the football.
Brad Davis was first to score for
Tulia witli five minutes left in the first
quarter. Davis finished the game with
69 total yards on the ground and
receiving. Johnny Rodriguez scored
the next touchdown with two minutes
left in the same quarter Zabrian
Granado added Uie two point conver-
sion to put Tulia up 14-0 by the start
of the second quarter Rodriguez was
file leading rusher with 80 years.
The defense caused a Black Hawk
fumble in the tlurd period that set up
Joey Ramirez and the quarterback
trap to putTulia up 20-0. Offensively
two new faces, Roman Guerrero
rushed three times for 13 yards and
Bryan Davis earned the ball four
times for 37 total yards.
Defensively, Roman Guerrero led
all tacklers with six, plus sacked the
Black Hawk quarterback twice for
loses. Nick Perezalso added two sacks
to his totals. That caused 7 yards in
losses for the Black Hawks. Kurt Gray
and Drake Carrasco added some help
to the defensive team by assisting in
tackles
The next game is on Saturday
against the Perryton Rangers. Game
time is 1 30 p.m for the seventh
grade and 3pm for the eighth grade.
