The Swinbum Fall
Family Pumpkin Fes-
tival was Oct. 28,
2005. Students and
their- families deco-
rated pumpkins. Rib-
bons were awarded
to every student par-
ticipant. 60 families
participated.
A large group of local and sur-
rounding area people thorough
enjoyed the 6th annual Vocal
Showcase Sunday afternoon at
the Home Merc, featured group
singers were Greg, Glenda, Matt
andJasonBirkenfeldofNazareth,
andDavidandCarmenRodriguez
of Canyon. Special guests were
Amarillo youth choir Pizzazz girls
show choir. Wonderful singing
without the help of an instrument.
Thy have plans to travel to Ger-
many and Austria and willbe pre-
forming in cathedrals.. The girls
range in age ff om4th grade to 10th
grade.
The Lions appreciation steak
dinner was Sunday evening at the
community hall for those who
have helped in their fund raisers,
the land owners and fire depart-
ment. David Bownch, Lions presi-
dent, said they served 95 people
a steak dinner. Vocalist Terry
Davis of Amarillo entertained and
was really enjoyed by everyone.
Congratulations to Marcus and
Celina J3rockman on the birth of a
son, Bryson Arnold, Oct. 26, at
BS A Hospital m Amarillo. Grand-
parents are Dale and Mona
Brockman, and Cecil and Lenora
Braddock. Great-grandparents are
Carl and Mary Kleman, Louise
Braddock, and Catherine Huse-
man.
Congratulations to Michael and
Lynnette Johnston of^Raleigh,
N.C., on the birth of their son,
Miohael Edward, Oct 18, at Rex
Hospital in Raleigh, and Dorothy
Kelman of Nazareth. Dorothy is
now home after spending 2 1/2
weeks with her daughter Lynnette
and family.
.Congratulations to A1 Lange of
San Antonio who turned 80 on
Oct. 15,2005.AgroupofNazareth
relatives and friends traveled to
San Antonio for a real surprise
party.
Charley and Beverly Hill enter-
tained their five grandchildren
over the weekend. Annie, Ethan,
Charlie Scholl of Henrietta,
Brynlee and Harrison Hill of Lub-
bock kept the Hill home pretty
lively. ' -
A special thanks goes to David
and Pat Smith of Hart, parents of
Shelly Schulte. They provided the
pumpkins for our fall decorations
in church.

people. New ones this week are
Bill Klein, Norita Hoelting, who
while in Denver, Colo., had to
have an emergency appendec-
tomy surgery, Nov. 1. She is still
in the hospital. Urban Ball has
been transferred to the Prairie
House in Plainview for several
weeks of rehab and therar
