The real assets investment portfolio managed by the PSF(SLB) is generally characterized by
three broad categories: (1) discretionary real assets investments, (2) sovereign and other
lands, and (3) mineral interests. Discretionary real assets investments consist of externally
managed real estate, infrastructure, and energy/minerals investment funds, separate accounts,
and co-investment vehicles; internally managed direct real estate investments, and cash that is
associated with the RESFA. Sovereign and other lands consist primarily of the lands set aside
to the Fund when it was created. Mineral interests consist of the minerals that are associated
with Fund lands.21
