sins not only impede the progress of
the church and threaten the prosperity
and perpetuity of the nation, but also
threaten the safety and purity of the
home. The time has already arrived
when men and women who love God,
and nation, un^ home, and church,
must take a definite and public stand
against evil, whether it is popular or
not. No one who hears Mr. Culpepper
tonight as he discusses some of the
popular sins of today will find time to
sleep.
The professional and business men
could not make a better fin-
ancial investment than to close their
offices and stores for one hour and at-
tend the service from 2:30 to 3:30. A
widespread revival would be worth
more to YV’eatherford than a street
carnival, a political convention or a
new oil refinery.

Rev. Rurke Culpepper. Dr. Logan, Dr.
K- P. Williams of the First Methodist
church. Rev. C. A. Bicklny. presiding
elder of the Weatherford district, and
Mr. Robinson, song leader with Mr.
Culpepper, were the special guests of
the day.
In Dr. Logan's talk he stressed the
fact that it seemed that business men,
as a rule do not understand the preach-
ers. and that some preachers did not
understand business men, but he felt
the need of an understanding that
would more closely unite the two, who
are engaged in great busines senter-
prises.
“We* are running one of the biggest
businesses in the town and we need
big business men in the church to
commercialize It—not In the broad
sense of the word, but to take hold of
the business affairs of the church and
put them on a solid business basis,
with the pep and enthusiasm ol sound
organization.”
Rev. C. A. Bickley, in following up
the remarks of Dr. Logan, said while
he was not familiar with the work of
Rotary, he believed that it was an or-
ganization that would bridge the great
chasm that seems to exist between the
business men and the church, by bring-
ing the two together, where the bonds
of friendship would be more closely
cemented. *
Dr. Williams said iu his reading he
had found a quotation which ran like
this: "if I rest I rust,” and his con-
ception of Rotary wa? very much the
opposite to rust, as its one object, as
symbolized by the wheel, was to keep
everything moving, and he liked that
spirit.
Rev. Mr. Culpepper made just a few
remarks, stating that It had been his
pleasure to meet with the Rotarians
in several of our cities, and had always
