Medina County Board of School
Trustees met in special session
May 29, with all members present.
The re-organized board consists
of P. S. Keller, trustee-at-large;
E. A. Bendele, precinct 1; Joe
F. Schott, newly elect, precinct 2;
Hilmar J. Koch, appointee for
unexpired term oi Wl O. Kothe,
precinct 3; and H. L. Brown,
precinct 4.

Annexation election were canvas-
sod with results as follows: Devine

Buried Tuesday
Mis Mary Mofield died early
Monday at the home of her daugh-
ter. Mis. Bernice Hildreth, in
Houston, and funeral services
were held Tuesday in Hondo. Rev.
D. D. Hogan officiated, and inter-
ment was at Ingleside Cemetery,
Hondo.
Mis. OTofield's parents immi-
grated to Texas from Germany
80 years ago. They landed in New
York in January, lsTl, and came
directly to Houston. Their little
girl, born on the first day of the
new year, was their only child.
Because the ship flew the Stars
and Stripes, she automatically
becalm* an American citizen, and
her parents wen* naturalized some
years later.
Mrs. Mofield was married to
Louis Mofield in Houston in 1891.

its founding, and who retired
from active duty as Mother Super-

Hold Bible School
NATALIA—The First Baptist
Church of Natalia is planning to
hold a vacation biblc* school from
June 4 through June 8. The school
will be for ages 4 through 16, and
classes will begin at 8 30 a m. and
run through 11:30 a. m.
The teaching staff wil 1 be local
workers, according to Mrs. Cecil
Strickland, wife of the pastor.
