A g

I of Livingston is
,— gearing up for their
annual Christmas event, A
Night in Bethlehem.
■Volunteers will soon
begin working diligently to
transform the Trade Days
Pavilions at Pedigo Park into
the little town of Bethlehem.
Cdstumes are already being
30km and props are being
built, along with many other
important preparations that
make this an exceptional
experience.
X first Baptist Church first
QBgan their Bethlehem
production more than 10
years ago. It has grown
considerably over the years
from where it started in the
grassy lot behind the FBC
Wadsworth building off of
N. Houston Street.
: “Going to Bethlehem” has
become a yearly tradition
for many families in the
area. There are numerous
learning opportunities for
young people and the overall
experience is priceless.
Each year more than 3,000
people step back in time to
experience life during the
days of Jesus’ birth.
This year there will be
no waiting. Upon arriving,
guests will be able to
immediately enter the city.
This is one of many exciting
changes made to this years
production.
Over twenty multi-
generational shops will line
the streets, donkeys, sheep,
and mini horses will roam
the town, and Roman guards
will keep watch as guests
make their way to the stable
where they will experience
the wonders of a living
nativity.
After walking through
Bethlehem, guests will enjoy
freshly baked cookies, hot
chocolate, and wassail, while
listening to special Christmas
music presented by the First
Baptist Church choir under
the direction of Kevan Wood.
The City of Livingston
Will also be sponsoring a
hay ride through the park, so
all can enjoy the display of
Christmas lights.

CROCKETT - The Sfioji
Tabuchi Christmas Show
is coming to Crockett!
Yes, that’s right, in his first
tour in over 20 years! The
world-famous Shoji Tabuchi
along with his beautiful
wife Dorothy and delight-
ful daughter Christina will
perform his spectacular
Christmas show at the
Crockett Civic Center, 7:30
p.m. Friday, Dec. 14.
Mr. Tabuchi is bringing
his seven-piece band, each
member having one or more
degrees in music, to play ev-
erything from country/ blue-
grass to classical!
This show encompasses
the wholesome, family-ori-
ented values of Christmas;
yet rivals the pure excite-
ment of New York or Las
Vegas and has been one
of the most popular shows
in Branson for the past 22
years!
In referring to Mr. Tabuchi
and his show, US News &
World Report wrote, “may
be unequaled anywhere for
showmanship”
Mr. Tabuchi learned
to play the fiddle in his na-
tive Japan at the age of
7. He was always a fan of
American country music and
vowed to one day play in the
States. He met Roy Acuff of
the Grand Ole Opry. when
Mr. Acuff was on tour in
Japan in the 50s. Mr. Acuff
told young Shoji to look
him up if he ever made it to
Nashville.
Shoji followed his dream
of playing country/bluegrass
music in the States and
came to America with $500
and his fiddle. Landing
on the West Coast in San
Francisco, Shoji eventually
made it to Nashville and
found Mr. Acuff. After ap-
pearing on the Grand Ole
Opry a few times and start-
ing to make a name for him-
self, Mr. Tabuchi decided to
dream a little bigger.
In 1980, Mr. Tabuchi
built his elaborate theatre
on the strip in Branson and
