The new son weighed 8 pounds and
two ounces, and he was named

were visitors Sunday afternoon In
Chrlstoval where they were guests
of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Pruett
Two Big Lake young men, Bobby
Walker and Richard Daily, went to
McCamey yesterday to report to
the Selective Service Board for
army Induction. Both of them are
graduates of Reagan County High
School Walker, son of Mr and
Mrs Oay Walker, graduated In
1084, and Dally, son of Mr and
Mrs Seth Dully, graduated in 1962
MUSIC CLUB MEETS
The Never BTTpt Club, composed
of Mrs Oay Walker's piano pupils,
observed Its first meeting of ithe
school year Monday afternoon In
the Bill A Friend home Each one
played a piano number, and games
and refreshments were enjoyed
during the social hour Those pres-
ent were Margaret Friend, Sheila
Bell, Karen Gandy. 8heren Whit-
ley, Vivian Morrow, I Ana Easley,
Wlllrne Rackley, Linda Settle, Pam
Havenhlll and Martha and Char-
lene Bridges.
Recently arriving to make their
home In Big Lake are Mr and
Mrs Glynn Hines and two children
who came here from Maryneal Mr
Hines Is employed as telegraph op-
erator at the Santa Fe depot. He
was formerly employed here
Mr and Mrs. Aaron Sanders and
son, Charles,-of Van Horn were
guests during the week end In the
home of Mr Sanders’ father and
mother, Mr and Mrs C C Han-

David McFadden arrived Monday
from Fort Bragg, N C. on a 21 day
convalescent leave. McFadden, son
of Mr and Mrs J W McFadden, le
recuperating from pneumonia and
other complications which kept
him hospitalized at Fort Bragg for
25 days Expected guests this week
end In the McFadden home are the
McFadden* son-in-law and
daughter, Mr and Mrs J A. Max-
well, and children of Justlcebur.
Mr Maxwell will be here only for
the week end while his wife and
children will remain through next
week
