Laws of the State of Texas.
any court in which the party prosecuted may practice,
of which motion or information a copy shall be served
on the party defendant at least five days before the trial
thereof, and the motion or information shall be made
and carried on in the name of the State of Texas.
Attorney may Sec.. 10. Be it further enacted, That each attorney
be fined for and counsellor at law shall be subject to fine by any court
contemDt of .
court, and in case the motion be sustained,
judgment shall be rendered against the defendant for
the amount by him collected or received, with legal interest;
and also, not less than ten nor more than twenty
per cent. damages on the principal sum, and if the evidence
in the opinion of the court exhibits dishonorable
or fraudulent conduct, then the court may in its discretion
also adjudge that the defendant be suspended or
stricken from the roll of attornies.
Attornies Sec. 12. Be it further enacted, That each attorney
may inspect
records, but no person whatever shall be allowed to take
any papers out of the office to which they belong,
without the permission of the clerk or keeper of'
