Monday morning with a repetition ot
last weeks sensational acrobatics
Some of the first trades showed a fall
of 4 cents a bushel the price opening
9C to S8 cents as against 1 at the
close Saturday After the initial
plunge the price for May showed a
tendency to rally reacting temporarily
to 97 34 If the selling was from rep

well disguised the market presenting
the appearance of a general bearish at
tack rather than an attempt at further
liquidation of holdings acquired dur-
ing the attempted corner P A Val-

accredited with buying considerable
May wheat while quotations were be-
tween 90 to 98 cents To this was at-
tributed the recovery to 97 34 Fresh
selling however from outsIdo sources
soon pounded the market down worse
than before It was not long before the
current figure for May was 93 12
cents a net lo s of 612 cents per
bushel Compared with Saturday
close 93 12 the market showed a fqll
of nearly 30 cents from the point at
which the Gates party Is supposed to
be in full control of the deal some
weeks ago
