SEEKING KNOWLEDGE
Ono ot the most Important matters
that has come to the attention ot the
Herald Is the active interest the farm-
ers of this county are taking in the
matter of education as it affects farm-
ing and kindred questions At the
meeting of the Farmers Congress just
adjourned at College Station bomc
twentyfive farmers were present from
this county and they went to get what
information and Instruction they could
get that would be helpful to them in
pursuing their work It was not the
usual crowd that went because they
had free transportation but were
men who paid thelrfares because they
wanted the good to come from such a
was the best looking man on the
ground too
Your ad in Saturdays Herald will
be read by more people than you can
reach by any other medium The

estine people and Is a welcome guest
every day therefore It appeals to
people when they are in the most re-
ceptive mood
The increase in taxable values of
Anderson county Is a matter of con-
gratulation It shows a very healthy
growth besides indicating that Asses-
sor Jackson has attended to his job
thoroughly We have been telling
you all along that this was a good old
town and a good old county
The Board of Trade last night sub-
scribed a nice sum to the cotton ware-
house company recognizing that the
warehouse is a most valuable insti-
tution to the city and county That is
just one of the many good things the
Board has done for the city and
county and it will keep on doing such
tilings if the people will stay with It
Boom your town or move your
trunk remarks the Palestine Herald
and It is mighty good advice A man
who Is dissatisfied with his home-
town owes it to himself and the town
to move on to a place that suits him
better He will be more contented
and the world will look brighter to
him Denison Herald

ways and will insure the farmers who

As stated above these are good
signs and they arc going to work out
to the great good of the county The
