Yesterday Afternoon By Being Drag-
ged From His Horse Uncon-
scious All Night
Yesterday afternoon while Tom
Ward the son o JIr R B Ward and
a young man of possibly eighteen
years was riding a cow pony and
driving a cow to which was attached
a rope he was dragged from his
horse on Terry street and badly hurt
In some way the rope became en-
tangled in such a way as to pull him
from the horse and cause him to get a
serious stun He was picked up in an
unconscious condition and carried in-
to the home of Mr E E Durham
nearby Medical aid was summoned
but the young man did not regain
consciousness all night This morn-
ing the Sanitarium ambulance carried
him to his parents home at 14 Cot-
tage avenue and up to 10 oclock he
was still unconscious It has not yet
been determined how serious his in-
juries are Everything possible is be-
ing done forhim

PROPER DIET FOR THE BABY
Simple Bill of Fare Is the One Most
Adapted to the Juvenile
Stomach
If you desire to give baby pleas-
ure do not fall into the mistake of in-

While the simple diet enjoined by na-

him desires for what may be an un-
lawful indulgence Up to the age of
three or four years give him little
meat rare beef steak or roast ten-
der roast mutton and roast chicken
Prohibit fried foods of all kinds also
stews and rich soups Broths well
skimmed will not hurt him but he

tion should take the place of most
sweets but these he should not eat
until after his weaning is some
months old Make haste slowly with
all innovations

the mothers of the rising generation
to decide whether in the next century
the biting epigram shall be truth or
falsehood
