Guest this week in the B. E. Dun-
agar home is their grandson. Danny
Dunagan. of Dallas. This youngster
came to Archer City not only to visit
his grandparents but also tc- see a
pair of coyote ears and to hear
woif 'howl. He didn’t specify what

March 3.—Unquestioned top-notehers
in two fields of performance and also
top-fovorites with the American pub-
lic will appear together at the Memor-
ial Auditorium in Wichita Falls Mon-
day night. March 13, when Gene
Autry and Jack Dempsey present a
full two-hour show for the benefit of
community youth organizations.
Gene Autry, Western radio and
movie star perched atop the top rung
in popularity for more than 10 years,
and his entire company will donate
their services for the show. Autry’s
famous mount, Champion, and Little
Champ (the colt) will he flown to
Wichita Falls for the event. Jack
Dempsey, idol of fight fandom for
the past 30 years, also will fly here
and will contribute his talents for the
program.
Proceeds of the performance will
be divided equally between the Wichi-
ta Falls Boys’ Club John Kimbrough
Swimming Pool Fund, and the Armed
Services YMCA Service Club, form-
erly the USO, in this city. The swim-
ming pool is scheduled for comple-
tion in June, but remaining expendi-
tures are estimated at a figure some
$20,000 in excess cf funds on hand. _
Support of the USO club on Travis
Street recently was withdrawn, and
its continued operation for Sheppard
Air Fcrca Base personnel, and other
uniformed service men, will depend
upon local resources.
Dempsey will devote his time
largely to. his chief current avocation
—officiating as referee in the ring.
Several ehert, sharp bouts are being
planned for use of his abilities.
Gene Autry’s show, on its third
national tour, will include Johnny
Bond, guitarist, singer and comedian;
Rufe Davis and Pat Buttram, come-
diams; the Cass County Boys, sing-
ing and instrumental trio; The Pina-
fores, trio of singing sisters; Frankie
Marvin, whiz on the steel guitar; and
Carl Cotner, violinist and musical
director.
Tickets are op sale at the Kreutz
House of Music. 721 Tenth, Wichita
Falls.

Fresno, Calif., flew to Texas the past
week-end to visit with, among others
elsewhere, Mrs. Maude Paschall, in
this city.

On March 1st, the Windthorst
Horn? Demonstration Club met at
the Ire me of Mrs. Ben Gremminger
with the president, Mrs. Frank
Wachsman, presiding.
The meeting was opened by re-
peating the motto, prayer and pledge.
Roll call was arswered by a good
“Irish Joke” and there were acme
real good cnes.
Mrs. Joe Mturer read the minutes
of the meeting and following was
a business session.
Mrs. H. Osterman gave a demon-
stration or making plackets and
seams and how to enlarge patterns.
Mrs. Frank Scheffe and Mrs. Frank
Wachsman gave a little reading on
“Food for Personality” and “Trends
in Family Living,” which was very
interesting.
A guest, Miss Rosalee Veitenheim-
er, was present at the meeting.
Mrs. Ben Gremminger gave a little
