A 22-year-old Henrietta man,
J. D. Halford, is in serious con-
dition in Wichita General Hospi-
tal after having been badly burn-
ed when he came in contact with
a high-voltage electrical line
Thursday. The accident happened
on the Weinzapfel lease near
Scotland.
Mrs. Lee Vieth, whose husband
was accidentaly electrocuted on
Sept. 14 gave birth to a boy in
the Bethania Hospital in Wichita
Falls on Sept. 29. The baby
weighed in at 9 lbs. and 11 ozs
and will he named Lee Frank af-
ter his father.. This makes Mrs.

Annie Bernethy went to New
Braumfels last Tuesday to attend
the funeral of Charlie Hoffman,
i an uncle to Frank Hoffman, Mrs.
Bernethy and Mrs. Baumhardt.
The group also visited with rela-
tives around Bastrop and return-
ed home Thursday.
Quite a number of people from
Wichita Falls and Scotland turn-
ed out Saturday night, Sept. 29
to give a "surprise housewarm-j
ing” to Mr. and Mrs. David Jack-,
son in their new home. The sur-
prised couple received a nice ar-
